Candied Pecans and Cranberries Snack Mix
teaspoon ground cinnamon
cup dried cranberries
Spray 18x13-inch rimmed sheet pan with cooking spray.
In 10-inch nonstick skillet, heat pecans, sugar and butter over medium heat 8 to 12 minutes, stirring frequently, until sugar has melted and pecans are coated. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with salt and cinnamon; stir again to combine.
Transfer nuts to sheet pan; separate with fork. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Break apart nuts if needed.
Mix with cranberries. Store in airtight container.
- Walnuts can be substituted for the pecans.
- If you’d like to add a little heat, just add 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne) to the nuts along with the salt and cinnamon.
